Review 22: Bleach movie 2, DiamondDust Rebellion.

An amazingly happy ending for Ichigo and Hitsugaya.  these two are the main characters for this film, A lot of fans took it as a surprise that such a pair would become the main focus for the second film. This film is mainly based on Htsugayas past with a departed friend.

In the beginning of the film we see squad 10 escorting an item known as the king's seal. Whilst the transportation between the soul society is taking place an unidentified soul reaper wearing a white mask appears with two young girls who resemble Arrancars. The girls are able to control fire and lightning which no one expected, so its a bit like a sneak attack. Whilst the mysterious masked soul reaper welds a sword just like Hitsugayas but claims its his.
A fight breaks out in-between squad 10 and the 3 mysterious intruders, and Hitsugaya abandons his post to chase down the mysterious soul reaper who soon leaves him badly injured.

The news reaches the human realm, which we all know it'll mean our usual friends will found out the news soon enough to help out. The storyline does make sense and the flash backs of Hitsugayas memory add to the story line to make it more.... suspenseful. The graphics are once again up to date, the storyline seems fresh and new, the fighting seems are up to our usual standards and the voice over’s are once again brilliant.

I think that they've made the film speedy; action packed and added the unusual characters in to get more people intrigued in the bleach movies. Even though this is the second movie We're already being dragged and drawn in to the films that we now know will following on and be just as good as all of the others...
One down side to the film is quite small... We all see what happens to the mysterious masked soul reaper at the end.... But we don't see what happens to his 2 little side kicks... You know the ones who control fire and electricity.

I wonder what actually happened to them?.....

Review 21: Bleach movie 1, Memories of nobody

Once again one of the world’s favourite heroes is out to give us all a happy ending... Or is he???
We see in the beginning of the film, Ichigo and our side kick Rukia fighting, yet again, another hollow in a public park. With a slightly hilarious twist to say we've only just put the film on it is quite comfortable and gives you the feeling of the earlier episodes of Bleach.

Basically, the beginning of the film ends up with Ichigos body almost being taken away by the local ambulance service due to his stupideness, yet again...
In the film we see a new type of departed souls; they go by the name of Blanks. And a new small team of bad guys who shouldn't be messed with. They all go by the name of the "dark ones" Not very inventive, I know but its good enough for the lovers of bleach. Their leader Ganryu, is the most fearless and dangerous of them all.

Everyone in this clan have been forbidden from entering the soul society again, this is due to the fact that they all started to consume innocent human souls. As we all know that this is forbidden they were banished, even though there are a few normal recruits to the team we all know that they’re just going to be abnormally weird.
The main characters in the film are Ichigo and an unusually happy young girl named Senna.
Unfortunately she has no memory of her family, the soul society and she knows absolutely nothing about herself.

We first see her amongst the blanks near a train station; she manages to take the majority of them down without any help whatsoever. Ichigo and Rukia, like usual, have no idea who she is, why she's doing this and how its all possible. They have no knowledge of what blanks are or why the have no features or why their even there.

Senna; A happy, funny outgoing character that Everyone grows to love quickly and easily. She's amazing when it comes to fighting, yet the soul societies have no records of her being there. they all soon become suspicious of her and look in to the matter at hand, meanwhile Ichigo and Senna are becoming good friends and have each other for the mean time. No one actually knows anything about this girl or who she is, but she’s capable of having people warm up to her very easily.

All in all for the first film that has been released on the Bleach series it’s a really good start, the graphics are up to date, the voice actors are once again excellent nd we see the usual characters that we see in the series.... so no picky fans of Bleach are left out.
An amazing film from start to finish, if you haven’t seen it yet then go online or to the local movie store, and have a look around.
If you live in England (like me), than the best place to get it is hmv. Their still selling the film online if you can't find it in stores.

Review 20: Naruto Shippuden (He didn`t grow up). 

Well, well, well he's returned to our screens once again. But did he mature???
No
Is he smarter???
No
Did his brightly coloured strange outfit change at all???
NO
Another fun loving Anime program following on from the original Naruto series. We see our favourite hero returning after 2 years training with his sensei.He's still loud and annoying, but for once everyone’s happy to see the demon child that is Naruto. Unfortunetly for his long time friends he still poses that pervy, hot naked chick move which still freaks me out on a mild level.
Well Sakuras still the same to!!! Apart from the fact she's turned into a mini Tsunade, once again creepy on a mild level. Turns out in the years Naruto was training he became a great healer just like Tsunade, We see in the early episodes of Naruto Shippuden that even Tsunade's training may not be enough for some forms of healing. Her appearance has changed ever so slightly, the clothes follow the same colour scheme and fashion from the previous episodes, but I thought she would start growing her hair again for Sasuke, but it seems the shorter look has stayed and will be there to stay for a while. 
Apart from this she's literally the same person, a few slight alterations in her wardrobe have not altered the fact that whenever Naruto goes off of task... She's there to hit him. (Obviously)...
With enhanced graphics and a slightly older audience to watch this series of Naruto it seems perfectly normal to me to jump straight in like they have. You know, introducing new characters and meeting up with past members of the Naruto series.
I have to say, I did start to watch the original Naruto series but became bored as i'd already read it. So I thought to fit back into the crowd I would start watching the series again. Good decision for once.
I do think this series is better than the original. I think the only reason I think its better is because, well they've grown up, so its as if people my age can relate to the characters that we love. It may seem weird but it is true.
I know younger kids at my school who prefer the first series to Naruto Shippuden as they can relate to him and the situations he's in.
I don't think Naruto's personality has matured or grown up with him. I think its the appearance and the voice that make him seem older. I actually like this element of Naruto as I prefer his characters to be this way, the series wouldn't be the same if he was smart and sophisticated 24/7. I'm glad with the decision to keep him as a wacky nut job instead of a stuck up tight wod.
I prefer the aged Naruto to the younger one who always wanted to become hokage. Therefore I prefer Naruto Shippuden to the original Naruto series. (Sorry to offend anyone)...

Review 19: Baka And Test (Fighting avatars... And a feel good anime)??

The famous feel good anime hit our screens not to long ago, but has it hit as many of us as it should of???
Baka and test does have to be one of the funniest Animes thats up there with Fairy Tail!!
Thees a whole host of weird wacky things to get us intrested in the story.... From a boy who looks and acts to much like a girl, girls who compeat in breast size all the way to fighting avatars who battle other classes for furniture.....? Make any sense yet??
In Fumizuki Academy anything you could imagine is either possible or almost there. There are 6 different ranked classes in each year group, A through to F. A is Obviously the smartest, whilst F is for what they call the idiots which unfortunetly only has 2 girls.

Now for one that's sexist, and two it proves girls are smarter. (ahaha screw you guys).

Baka and Test has some amazing characters, weird teachers and physcotic girls. To give you an idea of what I mean, here's some characters profiles to get you started:
Yoshii Akihisa; The main character and idiot in the series. His parents are away for work whilst his sister is studying in America, he's left Home Alone for a long time. With only a small budget of money to spend every month, a over protective sister who will only allow him to be in gay relationships and crazy friends that love him and take all of his money away..... His life is a crazy mess. His avatar is a funny, trouble making mini version of himself. Its also the only avatar in the school that can interact with objects and humans.... Which means teachers use him for chores and make him run errands all day... Poor kid.....
Himeji Mizuki; A young busty girl who has the boys eyeing her up and down every day, pervs.... She gets the top scores in every test, includng remedial tests so her avatar is stronger. In the entrance exam she colllapsed due to illness which meant she got a biggggg 0!!! This meant that she was immediatly sent to class F. We see later that is she didn't collapse during the exam he would of defiantly made into class A. Also its not just the Remedial tests, its just every test that has to do with her avatar. She fancies the hell out of Yoshii but kinda flirts with the other boys in class. With plenty of good looks the boys all love her, but little do they all know is that her cooking is that bad it knocks to many characters out.... Poor lads.
Shimada Minami; The over manly girl.... She loves breaking Yoshii's bones if he says the slightest wrong or slightly offensive. She may be Japanese but she spent most of her life in Germany, this means she can only read Hirigana and Katagana but not Kanji.... This means that the only questions she can answer at school are mathmatical. This ended her up in class F for the rest of her school life. She may like Yoshii but wony admit it to anyone, and there's a random ginger lesbian who attacks her every time she goes near a boy...... Life can only get stranger.
Sakamoto Yūji; Yoshii's best friend, and practically make a comedy duo. He's the class representative for F, but is to laid back for the girls liking... But what can I say, I think he fits in with the rest of the class. He's calm, cool and collected in any situation. Very early in the series we see him leading class f into victory against class E, but unexpectadly later on he loses to class A's rep who soon uses him as a fake boyfriend.Yūji really hates her, and whenever it comes to movies he always choses the longest and makes him watch it twice...... That's if he hasn't been tazered.....
In the Anime every class has a certain amount of equipment at a certain standard. Class A's being the best and F's being the worse. This means if a lower class challenges a higher class they exchange equipment. This could mean that F have tbe latest technology and comfort whilst A have cardboard boxes and cushions that have... Well lost the Cushion in them... Understand my logic???
Its a great watch with not to much fanservice so its suitable enough for younger ages. Its extremely funny, so I usually end up on the sofa by myself becaue everyone thinks I'm weird.... Could be true. An amazing Anime which should be noticed for its comedic logic, high ranked technology and the worlds cutest fighting avatars.

You've got to see this anime!!!!!

Review 18: Higurashi When They Cry (simply wtf factor)???

Ummm, does weird cover this series????
Or just manic and insane tell you enough????
This amazing series of Anime teaches us all what true confusion whilst trying to figure out what's going on is like. This is already a world wide famous anime that's been out for years, but to me only a recent discovery which has amazed me so far.
If you've already watched this anime then you'll know what I mean by confusing. People usually get to episode 8 out of 26 and give in because their un interested.
Their wrong....
Up to episode 4 we see our main characters learning all about a curse which has haunted Hinamizawa for 5 years. everyday, on the same day of every year 1 person will die and 1 will go missing along with that person. in certain cases 2 people will die instead of one, both in mysterious circumstances.

If you've watched some of these episodes than there will be absolute confusion, that's if you don't read in to it. Every 4 episodes the scenario restarts. I won't ruin it for you as the first 4 episodes don't make much of an impact or impression.....But one, well 3 if you count those insane characters too, die.....All within episode 4.
Straight after episode 4....Boom!!!! Their all alive again and happy as can be. I feel as if they've done this to show all of the ways you can possibly die from Oyashiros curse, and all of the possible outcomes small decisions can make.
Oyashiro, he is the guardian of Hinamizawa who supposedly looks over the villagers... But in this Anime the guardian does the opposite of what it should do. Apparently when 1 sin is committed you will either die or go missing, if you die someone close to you will go missing. If someone goes missing, someone close to them will die.
I won't say anything about the characters in this story apart from the fact that the main cast will either be seen at least once or those 4 episodes will be based on that character. The main bunch that we see are quite unusual and happy, each of them have their own individual side which is eerie, creepy and slightly disturbing. So I'm going to let you all have your own experience with this Anime.
it is a great watch from start to finish, with parts that don't make sense till later, to parts of the puzzle which you have to fit together yourself to figure out the true meaning of the story. An amazing Anime which I'm going to finish watching no matter what.

Review 17: Akira (NEO Magazine, Review Competition Entry)

So this reviews was done a veryyyyy long time ago when i read a magazine called NEO. They set up a competition for a short review on an Anime called Akira happens to be one of the first anime/anime films i`ve ever watched everrr. So you can obviously tell why i lost the competition XD It was a rather failed attempt and i wasn`t to bothered about not getting in the Mag... But yeah, here`s the original copy of it!

Fancy an action packed Anime with bike gangs and scientific experiments???

Akira, just the name gets you intrigued. The Anime itself is quite old, its not based on a tv program, was bought out quite a while back and whilst only at the age of 12.... Gets you pulled, dragged and drowned by the anime world.

The first anime I ever watched which made me fall to my knees with the disappointing ending which I didn't really understand at first...opps??

With the first few scenes focused on a motor bike gang it already draws in those previous lovers of the anime world.

With the youngest and the most wimpiest kid in the gang being the main character it already stands out from the others. As we all usually see the main character being the strongest, most violent and demanding in the group if we focused on various types of Anime.

With Tetsuo Shima as our main character it just shows that the stereo typical attention seeking main character is not always the best one to go along with. This young boy is an orphan, abandoned by his parents at a young age and literally tortured by other children who belonged to the same orphanage as him.

We meet other characters along the way like Shotaro Kaneda, his best friend who was almost like his older brother, also he started up the bike gang in the first place. He's seems to be the strongest out of the group.

Also the rebellion group, The Espers who are unfortunate children who are constantly being tested on....And Obviously the government themselves.

With loveabe characters, some slight confusion, classical animation techniques, motor bike gangs, crazy scientists, children with granny like skin (eww) and the classical rebellion group that should be admired.

For me its the film that got me in love with anime from a surprisingly young age, which some people would find bad as its aged 18, I got over the violence and from it I've matured. Its an anime for beginners I think but an old time favorite.

Its been 2years since ive watched it, and I remember it all as if it was just the other day.

Review 16: High School Of The Dead (To much panty flashing)

Once again another anime infested by zombies and people turning the world upside down.In this series we see a whole host of characters giving their own disturbing views and sights to us.This all starts off as a normal day with Takhashi bunking off his lesson to zone out at the city, to then be yelled at by Kagari. A girl who's literally a child genius who supposedly doesn't have to go to any lessons as ses knows it all (haha, yeah right). As she walks away acting all smug to herself, a lifeless man walks up to the school gates to be met by the gym teachers who realise that their lives will soon be over.

After the whole school climaxes to chaos the only survivors we see are:

Rei- A fun loving girl who sadly loses her boyfriend to the zombie epidemic, he unfortunately has to be killed by his best friend so they don't get bitten. The fanservice for her is quite bad....

Takhashi- A miserable teenager that really cannot be bothered with school, bunks off of lessons to much and is pretty handy with a wooden baseball bat. Unfortunetly he is forced to kill his friend at the beginning, (disturbing....). The only weapon he uses is a wooden baseball bat but later takes a gun from a dead police officer. Just proves that when there are zombies about.....Feel free to break the law multiple times.

Kagari- A little know it all, but when the zombies arise we realize that she actually relies on her mum. As she screams for her whilst putting a power drill into a zombies head.....Lovely. She hates other nerds and seriously hates to be bossed around so will scream in your face on a regular basis.

Hirano- A quite chubby nerd who follows Kagari around constantly. He’s handy with a nail gun and uses that as his weapon through the series. Kagari hates him, but he loves her. He can be a bit of a pervert when it comes to Kagari....But he soon learns to keep that to himself. he's quite most of the time as he was never a violent person, but this apocalypse soon brings out the tougher side of him which shows to be the best.

As we meet the other characters we learn that other humans, apart from these, are going insane. For instance we find a teacher that just let's another student die, our main cast of characters seem to think that he's almost starting his own religion by the way he's acting and projecting his ideas.The others leave him and the other students so they can venture out by themselves and actually get out of all of this.I may not be into all of the fanservice, as I hate it, but this series is amazing!! The fighting scenes aren't too violent so anyone can watch it, the fanservice isn't completely over the top and we all get to know the characters at a quick pace so for me this has got to be one of my top animes. 5 stars!!
