Review 16: High School Of The Dead (To much panty flashing)

Once again another anime infested by zombies and people turning the world upside down.In this series we see a whole host of characters giving their own disturbing views and sights to us.This all starts off as a normal day with Takhashi bunking off his lesson to zone out at the city, to then be yelled at by Kagari. A girl who's literally a child genius who supposedly doesn't have to go to any lessons as ses knows it all (haha, yeah right). As she walks away acting all smug to herself, a lifeless man walks up to the school gates to be met by the gym teachers who realise that their lives will soon be over.

After the whole school climaxes to chaos the only survivors we see are:

Rei- A fun loving girl who sadly loses her boyfriend to the zombie epidemic, he unfortunately has to be killed by his best friend so they don't get bitten. The fanservice for her is quite bad....

Takhashi- A miserable teenager that really cannot be bothered with school, bunks off of lessons to much and is pretty handy with a wooden baseball bat. Unfortunetly he is forced to kill his friend at the beginning, (disturbing....). The only weapon he uses is a wooden baseball bat but later takes a gun from a dead police officer. Just proves that when there are zombies about.....Feel free to break the law multiple times.

Kagari- A little know it all, but when the zombies arise we realize that she actually relies on her mum. As she screams for her whilst putting a power drill into a zombies head.....Lovely. She hates other nerds and seriously hates to be bossed around so will scream in your face on a regular basis.

Hirano- A quite chubby nerd who follows Kagari around constantly. He’s handy with a nail gun and uses that as his weapon through the series. Kagari hates him, but he loves her. He can be a bit of a pervert when it comes to Kagari....But he soon learns to keep that to himself. he's quite most of the time as he was never a violent person, but this apocalypse soon brings out the tougher side of him which shows to be the best.

As we meet the other characters we learn that other humans, apart from these, are going insane. For instance we find a teacher that just let's another student die, our main cast of characters seem to think that he's almost starting his own religion by the way he's acting and projecting his ideas.The others leave him and the other students so they can venture out by themselves and actually get out of all of this.I may not be into all of the fanservice, as I hate it, but this series is amazing!! The fighting scenes aren't too violent so anyone can watch it, the fanservice isn't completely over the top and we all get to know the characters at a quick pace so for me this has got to be one of my top animes. 5 stars!!
