So, if you know me as a person and not just some weirdo sat
behind a computer screen, and you know me pretty well, then you should be
aware that I absolutely love the K series... But was it as good as I
anticipated?

For starts, you have to go and watch the movie that came out before this
second series. I had no idea that there was a movie so I had to go back and
watch it quickly before moving onto the second series, however, I won't be
reviewing it since its only one movie and I haven't really got time for
reviewing just one thing right now. But yeah, movie first and then the second
series.
I am still a little bit annoyed as well since no one even mentioned that there was a movie and then a second season being released! I've been waiting for the second season for so long... (Almost as long as the deadman wonderland fans waiting for the second season which will never be released).

I started watching it as soon as It finished airing over in Japan, which
was about December time. I quickly whizzed through the film first and then
moved onto this second series, but this is the down side; if you don't have
access to that movie, then the second season will make virtually no sense to
you at all. There were some parts where I got confused and I had to remember
what had happened in the movie... But this is (luckily) not as confusing as the
first season.
If you've watched the first season of K project, then you most probably know what I mean by "it's confusing" I know quite a few people who had to go back and re-watch episodes of the anime to try and figure out what the hell had just happened at the end of the season. It was slightly confusing for some people, and near the end of that first season... My head had just gone and done the hugest fart you would have ever smelt.

Back to the anime then...
THERE MAY BE SOME SPOILERS UP AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FIRST SEASON!!!
If anyone complains about spoilers, I think I might stop doing reviews since everyone complains about spoilers even when I bloody tell them that I might spoil something, mardy!!

We begin this amazing second season with one of the most heartfelt
flashbacks of when Mikato was still alive, then an awesome fight begins against
the red clan and the blue clan; a rather welcoming and nostalgic start I must
say. Then obviously, we get back to reality, Mikato is dead and the blue clan’s
king is slowly destroying his sword. If you haven't watched the previous series
and want too, then please don't read on because I guarantee people will hate me
for this.
So Anna is the current leader of the red clan, which is seriously
strange since we never saw her fight or even be close to aggressive in the
first season. Yata swears to look after her and protect and the red clan seems
a whole lot closer than in the first season. One of the best and small touches
I thought there was for both the Red clan and the Blue clan, was that every
time there was a conversation; they all clearly said each other’s names, I
don't know if they were doing this to make sure that you remember everyone else
and not just the major characters, but I thought it was quite a nice touch to
the series. You learned more about the red clans and the blue clan’s clansmen,
you learnt about their personalities, what they fight with and who they hate
the most in the opposite clan. Even in the opening scene you see them pick who
they want to fight the most. Like I said, small touch, but effective.
The whole storyline in this second season is based around a clan that
had nothing to do with the storyline of the first season. If you remember, the
first season was all about Blue, Red, and Silver and a then a few appearances
from the Gold leader. This time around we have the Blues, the reds, the silver,
something bad happens to the gold leader (trying to cut out the spoilers) and
then the green clan appears out of bloody nowhere and think that the whole clan
thing is just a huge game. The green clan recruits other clan’s people by using
an underground social network where anyone can join up, and the majority of
people don't even know that the clans have powers. The clan is called
"Jungle" the J players are the top rankers and E is the lowest.
People lower down in the rankings are encouraged to find out information on
other clans, collect images and then take them out; for any of these you'll
collect points and the more points you have, the closer you can be ranking up.
However, there are only three J ranking players who have been granted powers by
their clan leader. No one else is allowed to have access to powers, and most of
them just have small little green birds that explode, that's the only weapon
that they're given against other clans. (A few do have guns).
Long story short, the Jungle clan gets cocky... way too cocky for all of
the other clans liking as they are trying their best to draw out the king of
the silver clan. Most of all, they want the slate that gives the clans their
powers so they can unleash it to the rest of the world; which by the way, is
hilarious because no one knows why flames are coming out of their hands. The
Silver clan king does appear and all of the other king’s band together to come
up with a plan on who to beat the Jungle clan, it's quite smart and something
that's much unexpected from people who just hate and want to kill each other.
So, the real question is, was it as good as the first season?
The answer is,
possibly even better than the first season actually!
So, the majority of people who watched the first season found it all pretty confusing as it got closer to the end and had to go back and watch it, I was one of those people. I watched it all the way through, and then had to go back and watch the last 5 or 6 episodes to fully understand what had happened; this time around everything was told perfectly and timed just right, nothing got confusing and everything made perfect sense. Everything fitted together perfectly so there was no need to waste time and go back, to watch two episodes to understand one thing; the only problem with that was the film before this season that you have to watch.
Being introduced properly to all of the side characters who only made a proper appearance at the end of season 1 was also interesting, they all have different enemies in the opposite clan and when they team up everyone who were enemies before end up getting on and fighting together.

This season was brilliant, it all made sense, we got to see every
character in some form of action and It did have some pretty good twists and
unexpectedness about it. Obviously the animation is brilliant because it's
brand new, and the animation in the flames seem bloody badass this time around.
The OST's where quite different too and seemed to have more of an edge to them
instead of the slower ones in the first season. One downside, even in the
opening sequence for the first episode there was quite a bit of fan service
from one particular woman... Didn't quite enjoy that, but then again Woman
crush right there. If there's any anime characters I want to be it would be
her, and we all know who she is, just take a wild guess and it'll be correct.
One bad thing, the Jungle leader mentions something about him and Neko
being the same as each other and both chose to erase their memories... I have
no idea if missed something but oh well!
