Where Have I Been.

So then, where have I been lately...
Because if I`m correct then the last update on this blog was back in July, and It`s now October, oops!

If anyone here follows my live diary blog at all, or the art blog, or Instagram; anything else basically. You would of known by now that the lead up to University has been hard for me and I`ve had a lot of preparation to do in time for starting.
I`ve been at University for five weeks now, I`m in five days a week for 8 hours at a time, and I also travel too and from University.

The work is rather tiring, the travelling is rather tiring and at the moment it`s like an information overload inside of my head.
In all honesty, when I get back from University I can be quite lazy. Usually 6 or 7pm, I get back and have my dinner, then the first thing I want to do is just sleep or sit with my family for a while... Considering that it has been 6 weeks since I`ve seen my dad, oops again.

I do end up falling asleep watching anime some nights, then in the morning I completely forget as to what the hell happened during the show and I end up forgetting about re-visiting it at all.

I thought that even though I was at University, I would still have some sort of spare time to myself, but even with leaving right on time and having work every other weekend... I`m still not putting enough time into my blogs and personal life.
I`m going to get the hang of all of this soon, my time management is absolutely terrible at the moment and even my friends have picked up on that.

I`ll be updating again very shortly, I need to be putting more time into the blogs and I need to be a lot more productive, rather then sleeping as soon as I get back from University.

Feel free to take a look at the other blogs, you can ask me questions on Instagram and facebook too so feel free to ask me anything personally or just about anime!

Review 59: Seraph Of The End (What`s With Those Hats)?

So this one was another great find, courtesy of Viewster. It's been coming up on my suggested for quite some time now, and I didn't want to watch it because it's all vampire related... But was it as bad as the twilight saga?

Of course it wasn't as bad as the bloody Twilight saga, nothing can be as bad as that, Jesus bloody Christ.
I've never actually heard of this series really, I did see it a few times on Facebook but I never actually bothered to go and watch it. Which was a shame really, because I actually enjoyed this quite a bit; I'm not one for vampire animes after watching Vampire Knight and a few other cheesey ones that I never went back too.

This series is based on the end of the world, the apocalypse and the ruling of vampires over the human race. On the surface, where the humans roam freely without knowledge of what's about to happen or about what is underneath their feet. A virus spreads across the world, killing all of those over the age of 13 years old, everyone under the age of 13 lived but had to somehow survive by themselves. When the adults where dead, the vampires left their underground cities and began to roam the human world; they took the children down underground and kept them there for years on end. They donate blood every now and then, and in return they get houses where they live with other children and they get a small amount of food so they can keep on producing blood for them to drink; the humans are basically like feeding stations for the vampires underground.

Our story follows the escape of one of the humans, yes one... Just one, I know, the first three episodes are heart breaking and make you lose all hope in everything you think will happen to these people. He escapes up to the surface, where a small amount of humans still roam and have started a small civilization full of people who survived the apocalypse those few years ago. They have their own army, The Imperial Demon Army, they train human children at a large school like facility and some of them eventually join the army and join in with the fight against any Vampires that come into the territory. There are small areas of humans that love a little further away from the main school facility, but everyone is over looked by the army, and everyone is protected by the army. These people rescue our main character, and train him up to become part of the Moon Demon Company; one of the strongest units in the Army and one of the few that are put on the front line to fight against the Vampires (also random creatures called the Horsemen of John). There are other people who are higher up than the Moon Demon Company, but they stay quiet until further on in the show.

The humans that live in the school facility face a small amount of training on the side, we don't really see it that much but it must be there since quite a few students are enrolling to be in the Imperial Demon Army. Those who even get the opportunity to be in the army then have to choose a weapon; the way this works is weird... when you touch a Demon Weapon, the Demon enters your mind and you have to somehow beat it to then own the weapon. So with our main character, it shows him his dead friends that are taunting him and making him feel bad about leaving them behind... Kind of spoiled It for you there, but it happens in like the first episode so you'll see that straight away, no biggy. The demons then live in the weapons, and when you call out their name they activate or something like that; reminded me of Bleach a little bit with the calling thing. But to even use the weapon, you'll have to overcome whatever terrible memories they mess with, and once you fail at that, the demon takes over your body.

We don't see too much of the demons, we mainly see the people who are actually using the weapons; I would of enjoyed it more if you got to know a bit more about the demons or if you at least get to see them a little bit more than you do. If memory serves me correctly, you only get to see them quite briefly, which is a shame because their designs are quite interesting; They seem somewhat plain, but their designs seem to have a slight quirky edge, so they kind of look like humans, but with a little something extra. The designs of the weapons are also really good, not as unique as you would expect them to be, but some of them are quite impressive and they all suite the character who is handling them too; which seemed like a nice touch, the perfect weapon that matches up with the characters personality and traits.

Yūichirō Hyakuya; He's our main/lead character for the entire series and we follow him throughout the apocalypse, the vampire ruling and then him joining the Imperial Demon Army. He and his "family" from the orphanage are captured and are put underground in a small house where the "donate" blood to the vampires that rule over them. Unfortunately, he's the only one who escapes the underground city, and the Imperial demon Army take him in and train him slowly. He's extremely impatient though and struggles to take school and training seriously, he just thinks that running in head first will do the trick. He really doesn't get along with anyone, he's about as stubborn as my dad! Which is one of the main reasons that he's taking so long to join the Imperial demon Army, he can't work with anyone because of his attitude towards working in a team; once he makes a few friends then he'll be able to join. It seems like he can overpower demons quite easily after having a run in with quite a powerful one that was underneath the school; a student went down and touched the weapon, and the demon took over his body, leaving Yūichirō to run in and "save" him. Yūichirō becomes incredibly strong towards the second season of the show, turning into "The Seraph of the End," and turning into a demon little by little every day. Due to his demon taking over his body, he has to be tied down for three hours every day to ensure that he doesn't harm himself or anyone else around him.

Since we know his back story straight from the beginning of the show, they don't leave much to the imagination for us. It was a good touch to know everything about him before the story kicked off, and there were still some surprises about him the further we got in the series, but it didn't leave much for us to keep on guessing and think about. I also wish that we got to see some more of the demons that live inside of the weapons; we do get to see some of them briefly, but the designs are quite unique... In my opinion anyway. I think they're unique as some of them aren't madly over the top with giant claws and wings coming out of them, they look more like humans with a little added extra that shows that they're demon.

Shinoa Hīragi; She was sent by her boss to keep an eye on Yūichirō, her main reason for becoming his shadow was to ensure that he actually made a friend or two, otherwise he can't join the Moon Demon Company. She does seem like some sort of mysterious character, and at first I thought that she was some sort of traitor because of her appearance and attitude... But actually; she's part of the family who run the Imperial Demon Army, so she does come across as quite mysterious to me, her family think that she's a disgrace and she rarely talks about them to her team mates. She's an extremely strong fighter, which is why she's in charge of the unit and slowly trains them up so they can fight against the vampires. She knows everything there is to know about the demonic weapons and how to fight against the vampires; but when it came to her fighting against the vampires, she went down quite quickly, so I think it might be down to her knowledge and techniques in fighting.
Mikaela Hyakuya; Now, does his last name look familiar too Yūichirō Hyakuya?... But that would mean that Yūichirō Hyakuya and Mikaela Hyakuya must be related in some way... Or they belonged to the same orphanage... Oh my god? why would I put someone who's dead here, hmmmmm, I wonder?...
DUN DUN DUNNN!!

I do think that the series seemed to happen a bit too quickly, there are two seasons and you begin to really find out what's going on about half way through the second season. It was an enjoyable show with a few good twists that made quite a big impact on your opinions of the characters.
I did really enjoy this series, even though it was about vampires; I've watched a lot of vampire stuff, some of it not even being animes about vampires, but anything vampire related just seems cliché now like it's all been done before and that whatever happens it's going to be predictable. But this one seemed quite different, not like all of the other vampire animes where there's a vampire in love with a human, and they're in lover, awwww.... Or humans attacking vampires with garlic and stakes.

Even though the story does come across as quite rushed, they still make sure that everything has been pieced together correctly and that it does make sense; it's not like they leave you hanging for ages on every little detail... There aren't any fillers aswell! Well if there was, then I must have enjoyed them since I didn't notice them at all, but I'm sure there weren't... I don't know if there was actually.

It seemed pretty straight forward, and every episode tied in with the plot, so the show wasn't wasting your time on useless episodes where they all take a day off and go to the beach, that kind of thing.
This one seemed really unique with the demonic weapons, the underground civilization, the virus that kills most humans, the seraph of the end transformation, the fight scenes and the ending; wasn't quite expecting that. I wouldn't watch it again though, probably because I know all of the twists that happen later on in the show. I would definitely recommend it for people who don't like cheesey loved up animes cause they're just gross.

Like, lovey dovey vampire animes make me feel slightly sick... just slightly

Review 58: Towa No quon (Welcome to the garden)!

A new one that my boyfriend has already seen a few times before; his friend Jessica gave us the box set and we spent last Saturday watching the first season... Was it as good as my boyfriend made it out to be?

Seeing as it was David who had recommended the show, it was obviously going to be good since he always knows about the awesome new shows that I still haven't seen yet, and he has watched a lot more shows than me! I wasn't too sure to begin with, it seems so cliché to just have a bunch of children with "special abilities" these days, and every anime just seems to revolve around that since it's what everyone enjoys. But this one was not too different, but there was just something about it that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Probably because the way the show played out wasn't like a lot of other shows that I've recently watched.

For starts, each episode is about an hour long; which means that every episode is like a small film, which then leads on to more films and more films... You get the idea. Since we had the DVD's with us, the episodes flowed quite smoothly and it felt like I was just watching one giant 6 hour long film that flowed smoothly and made sense... well sort of anyways.
In the first three episodes, I just kept asking questions about the show and what was happening, why the guy looks like a fish, why are there cyborgs, why are they trying to kill everyone... He just eventually told me to try and shut up and just watch the show since I was REALLY starting to bug him. The show has a bizarre and well-structured mysteries and plot twists, many of which were quite fun to come up with theories for them as the show went on... But that also made me ask even more questions about what was happening and David was getting slightly annoyed with me again. But then again, he does try his best not to spoil all of the good parts, but he still doesn't know that it'll just make me ask more questions about the show... when will he learn?

Our main story revolves around the amazing theme park, Fantasium Garden (not too amazing really). The main building is built around a large tree, which has been stood in place for over a 1000 years; the tree links in with the main characters back story.
Within Fantasium Garden is a series of children all of which have "special abilities" that they were born with, when found by our main protagonist, he'll hopefully take them back to Fantasium Garden where they can work and live without any worried of being tracked down and tested on... Get to that in a moment.

The people with special abilities call themselves the Attractors, and the people who they want to capture them belong to an organization called Custos.
The Attractors are descendants of a clan, whom of which had these special abilities and lived together away from anyone who could cause them any form of harm because of their abilities. Then Custos work under something called the "order" who believe that the Attractors need to be caught and most probably killed. They also test have cyborgs that work for them, as the Attractors are stronger than just regular humans; they keep track of the Attractors, and whenever an attractors powers are activated it appears on their scanning systems so they can hunt them down again. They also call the Attractors, Larvae and they're seen as monsters with no thoughts or feelings to the Cyborgs, otherwise the cyborgs wouldn't hunt them at all.

The Attractors clan however; and a quick warning for spoilers...

Spoilers...

Yeah, we all good?
The, now known as, Attractors came from an ancient clan of people who lived together in peace with only others who possessed the same powers. This clan wasn't really connected to the outside as they didn't want to scare away other people by using their powers or having their powers activated by accident. Quon is our main character and he lived peacefully within the village with his brother Towa, they both possessed powers from the clan but Towa's scared him. One day, a man injured his leg and Towa instantly healed it for him; the man was petrified and ran away. The same evening when there was a ceremony, the man had bought people from his village to attack the clan and ended up slaughtering them all apart from Quon and Towa. Quon survived and took revenge for his clan whilst Towa hid himself in a crystal that they offer to a "sacred tree"... His powers scared him so he sealed himself away in the crystal.

Quon; He sets up Fantasium garden in an effort to help protect any other Attractors he comes across. He gives them a job, he lets them live with him and he protects them all; he's kind hearted and understanding of others, even when the rogue Attractors want to kill him even though he's trying to help them. He has multiple powers; when he uses his powers, he transforms into a stronger form of himself (he kind of looks like a fish) and this form is practically indestructible, he can manipulate water, some forms of nature (not too sure on that one) and metal, he also has amazing speed and strength whenever he activates his powers.
His character was that of an odd one, odd in a good way obviously; I couldn't quite figure out what it was that I didn't like about him... but after a bit more thought, I would have to say it's his character design and personality, they just don't match up. His character design seems quite badass, kind of says he's the leader of this place and he won't take no for an answer; at the beginning his character does seem very relaxed and he's very gentle with everyone and welcoming. But as it goes on and there are more fights going on, and Custos are trying to capture them, he toughens up a bit more and actually suits his character design.

I love, Yuri; She's one of Quon's best friends and is also an attractor. She has incredibly speed and has to wear a special suit so she can avoid hurting herself whenever she uses her incredible skills. She looks after a lot of the kids that end up living in the garden and she begins to act like a second mother to them all. I prefer her character to Quon actually, I'm not too sure as to why though; I think it might just be something about her personality and how it matches so well with her as a character design. Just something about her really stood out as a parent figure, yet she's still quite young.

Now, at the garden there are a looooot, of characters to go through, which is why I'm not actually going to go through the majority of them. There are only 6 episodes, so going through all of the characters would create too many spoilers and that isn't what I'm aiming for in these kinds of reviews. As the show goes along, they add more characters in by creating different scenarios for them to appear in; like finding more attractors, or suddenly learning the background of a cyborg who all of a sudden becomes important.

Even though I did quite enjoy this short series, I didn't actually enjoy the story line... Or the opening theme song, god damn that things annoying. There was something about it, that in the end, just felt rather un-finished or as if there was something missing from the plot completely. I think it's because it seemed un-resolved to me, in the end everyone was happy and everything was done and dusted... But I like to see what life is like for the characters afterwards; what happens to them, what they're life is like once everything is done and dusted, what happens to Custos once everything is finished with. But there was nothing, it just kind of ended and that was it; I was disappointed actually, it was the way it had all ended.
The story played out very straight forward as well, there wasn't any fillers or episodes that where just filled with important backstory for the other characters. It was just following the main story line so it got kind of boring; I hate fillers in Naruto when they go on for ages, but I hate ones without filler that just leave you hanging on. If anything, I wanted to know more about the characters, where they came from, why they wanted to get away and live in the garden... Simple things like that can make you a lot more interested in a show and the characters, but it lacked quite a bit of that and I lost interest in a few of the side characters who lived in the garden as well.

It seemed boring; yeah the fight scenes are good, it had great characters, good twist near the end and of course it had a good and (sort of) unique basis with the attractors and custos. But I would have been sooo much more interested and less disappointed in the ending if there was more information on the side characters and possibly the clan that the Attractors originate from. David seriously loves this show, and he was singing along to the opening and kept on telling me when the good bits where coming on. He really enjoyed it, but I felt like it still needed something that involved the back stories of the other side characters and a backstory for the clan... And I mean a PROPER, long and detailed backstory.

It was good in some ways, but it just focused on the main character Quon a bit too much for my liking. There also didn't seem to be too much information on the making of custos, who founded it, why and when it was formed.
The character design was good, but quon's personality didn't match his design at all and they seemed like opposites, but apart from that everyone else seemed to match their designs and it completed their character completely. I would have loved some sort of back story into the other side characters that are involved in the story, I think this would have made me a bit more interested in the whole plot as a whole since everyone has their different reasons for joining the rest of the Attractors. I would have preferred more fights in-between the attractors and Custos as there was a huge rivalry in-between them, but they never had a really big fight until the last two episodes. I would of preferred to see them living in Fantasium garden as well, it doesn't really show you them all living together as one big clan, it's more like just bits and bobs around the park that you end up seeing.
There was a lot that I didn't like, but there was something about the way that the episodes flowed that made it easy to watch and enjoyable to watch. I'm afraid this anime show will only be getting a 5/10... Yeah, David is going to kill me for this!

Review 57; Toradora (The palm top tiger)!

Something quite different again, well for me anyways; Toradora, the show where best friends fall in love... But who will fall for one another?

I found this one on Viewster, they seem to have unlikely things on there that I've never thought of watching before, rather handy. It came out in-between 2008 and 2009, So I wouldn't say it's quite old or quite new really, just feels neatly tucked in the middle; you can tell by the opening sequence, it seems all fuzzy for some reason, I think it might of been the streaming, not quite sure.
My boyfriend had already beat me to watching the series, turns out he actually watched it ages ago!

The series is based around 4 friends (and a random one joins eventually), so there's two boys and two girls and one of the boys likes one of the girls and won't admit it too her. Then the other girl, likes the other boy... If this is making any sense, kind of like a complete mix up really. our main lady killer, Ryuji, is a sweetheart really and is kind hearted but rather clumsy; however, his eyes and fierce facial expression always means that people are afraid and intimidated of him, but the girl he loves is still friends with him despite what people think. Then we have Taiga, she loves the other boy and she is also known as one of the fiercest people within their school.

So basically this school is very, very strange; not like a supernatural strange, but the clubs and how people go about our main characters. For instance, when everyone thinks that Ryuji and Taiga are in love, and everyone freaks out about it all and they're showing reports of their evidence in class and it's all rather strange really. Even characters who have nothing to do with the story line and are just there in the background, now they can be quite funny when they do get the chance to speak up a little bit.

Every morning Ryuji wakes up to his hung over mother sprawled across the floor, because of her job, and he cooks and does the house work and look after her before going off to school. Now, he comes from a working class family and they only have a tiny house, but then a giant block of flats appear next to them. Coincidentally, Taiga' family is rich and she's moved into one of the huge flats, so when they become best friends she's constantly going over to Ryuji, and he then has to do everything for her too!Taiga eventually finds out about Ryuji' love for Minori, the other girl who's best friends with Taiga, and she tries to help him get closer to her so he's more likely to go out with her. The same happens with Ryuji, he finds out that Taiga actually likes his best friend, Yusaku, and he then helps her get closer to him. It's all quite cute really and was quite funny to watch.

They try all sorts in the end, but Taiga and Ryuji end up becoming closer, and closer as they try to help each other fall in love. Here's a small bit on each of the four characters that we follow:

Ryuji; his father left before he was born, and his mother loves to talk about how he would stuff magazines into his jacket just in case someone tried to stab him. He only lives with his mother, but Taiga ends up practically living with them with the amount of times he goes over each day. People in the school mistake Ryuji for some tough school bully, his eyes make him seem stern and un-forgiving in a way. He has a huge crush on Minori, but eventually falls for someone else.

When I first saw Ryuji, I didn't quite think he looked to scary, he looked more like a typical teenage student to me so I thought that was a bit miss-leading (if that's even the right term to use). His character a whole is quite clumsy and he tries to get everything right the first time round, his clumsiness makes him funny and quite a loveable character. By the looks of things, he always tries to get everything right with his friends as well and always does tasks in an effort to please them in some way, or, to make them feel better about themselves.

Yusaku; He's a very clever guy actually, he's the vice-president of the student council and his classes representative, along with these, he's also the caption of the schools softball club. Despite his appearance, he's actually really popular with the girls; he's tall, has dark hair, wears glasses and can be quite withdrawn at times... But if you do pay attention you'll notice quite a lot of girls speak to him about how amazing he is, even though he thinks that he's actually terrible at talking to girls. Throughout the series, he also appears whenever Taiga and Ryuji are discussing how to get closer to their lovers.
I thought he didn't suit Ryuji that well, considering that the majority of people are quite scared of Ryjui because of his appearance. He also doesn't suit Taiga, and I don't quite see as to why they are paired up in the show as they really don't suit each other at all... I wouldn't ship them together. I don't quite like him as a character, to me he just seemed like the typical "everyone gets along with him" kind of guy to me.

Taiga; She's tiny and very rich, very, very rich. Her father is a rich and respectable man, however, she doesn't get along with him at all and they fight a lot, which is why she moved out and live in one of those large posh flats that are right next to Ryuji's house. She's also quite clumsy, but she is REALLY clumsy; but does well to hide it from others around her. Because she came from such a respectable household, she doesn't know how to complete domestic jobs like cooking and cleaning... Since that's all Ryuji does at home, he make him come over and clean for her whilst she sleeps. She' nicknamed the "palm top tiger" due to her tiny appearance and her trait of snapping and getting aggressive rather quickly at other people. Along with her appearance, she appear as very doll-like and gets a lot of boys fall in love with her due to the way she looks, but she does what every love struck anime character does and she turned them down... Since she absolutely loves Yusaku.
During the anime opening I actually thought that she was a fighter of some sort since she has what I believe to be a wooden sword or something along those lines... She's rather aggressive and even attempts to kill Ryuji in the first episode, she trashes classrooms and practically hates everyone, so I basically think that she's got small man syndrome! I thought that her character was made out to be the bad guy quite a lot of the time, but it turns out to just be a lot of built up frustration which I thought was weird at first considering how small and innocent she looks at a first glance. I don't quite think that she's the school bully in the series, more like someone who just hates people in general; which also makes you question as to why she's going for someone Like Yusaku.

Minori; She's Taigas best friend and she's so cute, outgoing and bubbly! Just one of the characters that makes the anime so adorable really! She has a younger brother who she takes care of regularly, she loves softball and is also the captain of the girl's team, and she has multiple part-time jobs... but can also be quite air-headed, forgetful and clumsy. She loves horror and anything scary, but she makes out that she doesn't just so Taiga will try and scare her more often, she does get her own back later on in the show though. She tries to keep everyone else happy and enjoys the company of others, especially Ryujis...
I think I love her more than I Love the main character Ryuji, she's just so outgoing and happy all of the time and it make you happy watching her be happy about something she's forgotten, if that even makes any sense. She's quite cute, but doesn't act it too; she seems more of a tomboy than anything to me.

There is another main character that appears quite suddenly, her name is Ami and she's a model. She moves to the area when her life is put on hold because of a stalker that won't leave her alone... Pre-warning, you'll hate her!

There are only 25 episodes, but it feels like a lot of it is just filler kind of stuff that eventually makes some sort of sense and fits in with the storyline. Even though it felt un-needed, if you don't watch it then you'll miss out something that does actually link in with the storyline. Everything is very cute too, but most of it is like clumsily cute, and not like the character is purposely trying to be cute which was a nice touch I think; it definitely felt better than a character wearing a cute pink dress to look cute.

It's another one of those feel good animes that can really put you in a good mood, I'm almost finished watching the series now and I'm till really enjoying it, despite how short the series actually is. I'd say another 2 hours or so and I would of finished it, but I have been trying to binge watch it so I could try and get another quick review out there.

I'd have to give it a solid 7/10 really; it was enjoyable, funny, the characters had funny quirks that added something extra and it was a feel good show with cute characters that brightened up my day ever so slightly. But it dragged on for too long, some of the episodes are un-needed as I already knew how it was going to end and because I knew, a lot of the episodes had no key information that lead up to the ending of the show. I'm not sure if it just felt that way to me because I knew the ending, but some episodes weren't worth watching because I knew what was going to happen. The character designs and back stories where quite unique and weren't as boring as I thought they would be for a romantic, comedy anime like this. I don't quite like romantic animes as well, I think the cheesiness of it all just puts me off of the characters; but these guys weren't cheesy about it, if anything they were quite funny to watch as the stumble over their own feelings.

I definitely enjoyed it, but I should get back to just finishing it off now...

Review 56; Castle Town Dandelion (Too cute)!

So it's been a while, a while since I watched anything that was just filled with cuteness and had an opening that made you want to cuddle something... But did I enjoy it as much as all of my gruesome animes?
Look at how cute she is!

It has been a long time since I watched something like a feel good, happy and extremely cute kind of anime; and luckily I stumbled across one on Viewster. I wasn't going to watch it at first, after my bad luck with finding Prison school and wanting to be sick, I didn't read the description again and just went off the cover for the anime on Viewster. It looked cute to me and I fancied a quick change after watching some pretty weird stuff the past few years, I am going to be reviewing some more cute stuff soon but I'll have to also fit that around everything else that's currently going on in my life... New job sixth form, extra coursework and qualifications that I'm picking up, I'll find the time soon.

This strangely adorable anime revolved around the lives of the royal family, most of all, the children's lives. The royal family tried their hardest to live like every other person, they live in the city and not the castle and the children attend a public school along with everyone else. So they have pretty normal lives to say that they're royalty. But wait? There's always something that gets In the way of their lives being normal... They have powers?!
Yeah, to prove that they are part of the royal family, they all have specific powers that are completely different from their other siblings. So when I started watching this I thought it was going to be normal-ish, I mean they are royal and live like normal people which is weird within  itself but the power thing ended up confusing me a bit, it wasn't necessary really.

The series is from the viewpoint of the fourth daughter out of the nine siblings, her name is Akane and she really hates cameras. The city is covered in them after an incident that occurred when Akane was a child, like I usually do, I won't say what it is otherwise I'll just spoil episode 11 for you all. Akane is he one to introduce us to everyone and we see things from her point of view, but in-between the episodes we switch over to some of the other children as well to see what Royal life is like for them; I think everyone in it bloody adorable.
Storyline, now it's a bit weird; sometimes it' back to the story line and then at other times it's kind of like cute filler kind of things that you give you more of an insight to the characters, and seeing as there's only 12 episodes altogether, it makes sense. The royal family basically needs a new king, and the siblings have to compete against each other for popularity points which are updated every week and usually the person with the most popularity points will end up getting the most votes when it comes to choosing the next king.
It's a nice way to look at it really, 9 children all competing to become the king must be bloody stressful! But they all go along with this small competition to become the next king and they all really enjoy it in the end, not like me who would probably kill my sisters to become king... sorry! Akane has her own reasons for becoming King, obviously, but they aren't too brilliant really; she wants to become the next king so she can remove all of the cameras in town and roam freely as she pleases, but it's quite strange and it would back fire... Becoming king would mean that all eyes would always be on you, right? Well she doesn't quite understand that you see, but she tries her best anyway to try and avoid the cameras at all times.

The children are as follows...

Aoi: She's the eldest of the 9 and has a power that she claims to be called "invisible Work" however, she has another deeper power that she can't yet control, you'll find out what it is about half way through the anime. She's quite, has long blue hair and also helps Akane with her speeches towards the voting season.

Shu and Kanade: They are the first set of twins out of the 9 and are both the second eldest out of the 9 siblings. Shu's power is teleportation, anything he touches will be teleported with him; and yes ladies, he has a girlfriend in this so there's no point in beginning to fan girl now. He's got dark hair, he's tall and has a very, very laid back personality towards everything. Kanade however, she's strict, serious about everything, has her goals set from the start and knows exactly what she's doing. Her power is Heaven’s Gate, this allows her to materialize random objects, as amazing as it sounds, and there is a down side to this... Everything she materializes will then be deducted from her bank account, so if she makes a car appear then the amount that the car would usually cost would then be taken from her bank account. Too say their twins, they are quite the opposites.

Akane: She's our main character and all of the guys at her school are completely in love with her and her shyness! She's got long red hair, always wears short skirts (with the occasional panty flash) and is completely innocent in everything does... Also doesn't think things through that much really. Her power is Gravity Core, this allows her to change the gravity of herself and objects that she touches, too avoid cameras; she'll usually fly to school or hide behind her sisters.

There's another set of twins, Haruka and Misaki (one has purple hair and one has pink, amazing)! Hikari is the little blonde one who can manipulate the growth of objects; like making things grow quicker (plants and stuff) or increasing and decreasing her own age, which is quite strange to see really. Teru, he's loud and basically seriously strong as his power let's him obtain great strength from out of nowhere. Shiori is the youngest, and has an extremely weird power; it allows her to talk to people and inanimate objects.

The only problem I have...
And yes, even though I seriously enjoyed the anime and it was cute as hell, I'm obviously going to be picky with the fan service. There wasn't that much of it, to be honest, like hardly any; it was just that it wasn't needed at all. Now I understand crushes, and relationships and there also being a fan club for Akane but the panty flashing and her always losing her skirt wasn't needed.... It was quite funny in places, and slightly different since the show is all cute and polka dots and happy music, but I would like to think of it as innocent stuff. For instance, her skirt gets caught in a bush and rips, so she puts shorts on instead but it still looks like there's nothing there and then it turns out that there is nothing there; I would see that as innocent fan service really, not purposely there for the views or too draw in a male audience.

The show overall is amazingly cute, well I think it is anyway; polka dots, pastel colours, adorable characters who you just want to hug, the happy music, bright colours and most of all the overall feel of it when you start watching the show... It always starts off on a positive rather than a negative that's supposed to make you want to watch it.
I haven't watched something like this in a very, very long time, anything cute is off limits really, but this actually made me feel quite happy whilst I was watching it and I also ended up singing along to the theme song whenever it came on. It does feel like one of those feel good happy animes that you can watch whilst doing coursework like I did.
it really is just one of those things that you can multi-task with, it hasn't got huge plot twists that you have to look out for, it's really straight forward and easy to follow so if you need a quick loo break and don't pause it... You're hardly going to miss three tsunamis, 2 murders and 1 sex scene, you'll probably miss the Shiori talking to Watermelon or saying sorry to a chair for talking to it!

Expect a lot more cute things coming up eventually, because after this quick series I really want to watch something that's happy, bright and colorful enough for me to do whilst I multi-task.
They're easy to watch, and will be easy for me to do in bulk as well; also, they make me feel sooo happy after watching them!

Review 55: Prison School (You want boobs? You`ve got boobs!)

Jesus Christ I thought it would be cool cause of the name, it's kind of cool but there's bewbs, god damn I hate the bewbs. So then, even because of the bewwwwbs, did I still enjoy it?

Too start off, most of you probably know that I HATE fan service and any form of panty flashing. I found this anime on Viewster quite a while back but I didn't read the description, the age rating or the 5-star rating for the anime... I just went off of the name which made me think "holy crap that sounds amazing, a school that's also a prison? I bet there's loads of fight scenes and torture and oh my GOD this one could be cool”. Then I watched it, and I think my opinion on fan service might have been changed... keep on reading to see why my stubborn opinions might have been changed!

It's based on a Japanese boarding school that's only ever been open for girls, and is still full of girls who basically have huge boobs and don't quite know how to keep their bloody legs closed and all they ever do is flash their panties; luckily enough everything is covered up by white strips of fan service protection which was a bloody relief, but that also depends on what site you use to stream, luckily I was using viewer so it was all censored so my innocent eyes didn't have to witness the horror of striped panties.

So this small group of boys move into the school, and they thought it was going to be heaven since the place is full of loads of cute girls for them to flirt with. However, none of the girls speak to them and they're too nervous to talk to them half of the time and the end up messing everything up just by attempting to talk. The main reason that the girls won't speak to them is because of an underground student council who make their own rules to scare away other girls, they (somehow) use crows to watch people so the girls can't talk to the boys if the crows are there. So these five boys are also extremely perverted they want to get some girls to go out with them but none of them will... So OBVIOUSLY they do what every other boy would do and that's perv on the girls, in the first episode they go up to the roof in tight, all black suits and they use a phone on a piece of string and lower it into the girls bathroom. So they're loving this whole perverted phone thing, and I was sat watching it on my laptop getting extremely annoyed with myself for making me watch this show because I immediately knew that this wouldn't be the only episode that would be covered in fan service. It was quite funny, but it put me off ever so slightly.

Like every other funny school based anime, of course the pervy guys messed up and got caught in the end and what the girls did was rather weird. So in the center of the school there's like a miniature prison, and the underground student council, who aren't really the nicest people in the world, put them in there for a month. They got to choose actually, either a month in prison at the school or they get expelled and their families are told about what they did to the other girls. They still attend lessons whilst in the prison though, which I guess is kind of good for them, I think they had a camera set up in the room they're supposed to be in and they use that as if they're in the classroom. It's quite strange really, and if I was those 5 lads then I would have just stayed inside of the prison. Because of their behavior they keep on getting given jobs where they have do loads of manual labor and building work, they literally won't do what they're told to do which means that things get worse and worse for them, but they don't realize that cause they just want to perv on the girls.

Now the reason as to why my opinion has changed:
So even though I didn't enjoy this anime, or the amount of bouncy boobs there where within it... I enjoyed the comedy. Yes, the comedy side made me forget about the fan service to some extent, even though the fan service was still annoying and still there throughout the show, the comedy side kind of distracted me from all of that which was quite interesting. Usually a lot of shows just place the fan service there and then do nothing with it, like there's a half-naked girl there and no one finds it weird at all or attractive, like it's an everyday thing... yeah? Well this show added a slight comedic twist to the majority of the fan service which made it quite enjoyable to watch, it didn't have it all of the time and when there was no fan service it was quite a funny show. So actually, I for once enjoyed a fan service filled anime show, which hasn't really happened before.

There are some weird characters in here, like a super cute blonde haired girl who is also a martial arts master, a really mean strict girl who used to get bullied because of her huge knockers and also a very sweet and innocent girl who is quite nice to one of the new boys and eventually develops feelings for him.
The male characters are definitely the best in the series, the girls are made out to be quite strict and forward people who clearly don't like the new change with the boys... Whilst the boys are made out to be relaxed people who just want to have a good time whilst at the school, they're funny, weird, outgoing and are completely random at times and just blurt anything; spoiler, one of them even she*its themselves just so their friend can have a recording of him with diarrhea... LIKE WHY? The boys in this are so funny, but there is one who is also quite serious at times and wants to take charge of the small group of boys; they mess up a lot, fight a lot and goggle over girls A LOT. I don't feel like there is any need for me to have a list of characters and what they're like, when you get watching it you notice that there isn't much difference in-between them all so there isn't much to tell really. There is a bit more to the girls who are in the Underground Council, because obviously there is a reason as to why they all hate the boys so much, so I would definitely keep an eye out for those girls.

This is the face of to much stress
and too much coursework.

Head over to the live diary
blog and art blog to keep up
to date with my private life and
my artwork!
But yeah, I finally enjoyed an anime that was completely filled with beewwwb shots and striped pantie flashing; I think after watching this show as well, I'm going to make sure that I am reading the shows descriptions instead of just watching it because it looks pretty cool, because I think I won't be able to put up with any more fan service after this one.
I wouldn't watch it again, and I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends really... Could you imagine me recommending this show saying it's amazing and then my best friend just sees a load of boobs pop up on screen! They would kill me! I would recommend it to someone that for:
1. Likes fan service.
2. Won't play it through the speakers on your laptop because there is some WEIRD stuff on there.
3. Wants something a little bit different.
4. Kind of likes comedy but wants to see some boobs as well.

A great anime show doesn't need to show off breasts and underwear to make it any better, they need to focus on plot and character development if they want to get more viewers...That's a lot more appealing to me, and a lot of other people, rather than just focusing on where the next panty shot should be.

Review 54; K. Return Of Kings (No one told me about this)! SPOILERS!

So, if you know me as a person and not just some weirdo sat behind a computer screen, and you know me pretty well, then you should be aware that I absolutely love the K series... But was it as good as I anticipated?

For starts, you have to go and watch the movie that came out before this second series. I had no idea that there was a movie so I had to go back and watch it quickly before moving onto the second series, however, I won't be reviewing it since its only one movie and I haven't really got time for reviewing just one thing right now. But yeah, movie first and then the second series.
I am still a little bit annoyed as well since no one even mentioned that there was a movie and then a second season being released! I've been waiting for the second season for so long... (Almost as long as the deadman wonderland fans waiting for the second season which will never be released).

I started watching it as soon as It finished airing over in Japan, which was about December time. I quickly whizzed through the film first and then moved onto this second series, but this is the down side; if you don't have access to that movie, then the second season will make virtually no sense to you at all. There were some parts where I got confused and I had to remember what had happened in the movie... But this is (luckily) not as confusing as the first season.
If you've watched the first season of K project, then you most probably know what I mean by "it's confusing" I know quite a few people who had to go back and re-watch episodes of the anime to try and figure out what the hell had just happened at the end of the season. It was slightly confusing for some people, and near the end of that first season... My head had just gone and done the hugest fart you would have ever smelt.

Back to the anime then...
THERE MAY BE SOME SPOILERS UP AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FIRST SEASON!!!
If anyone complains about spoilers, I think I might stop doing reviews since everyone complains about spoilers even when I bloody tell them that I might spoil something, mardy!!

We begin this amazing second season with one of the most heartfelt flashbacks of when Mikato was still alive, then an awesome fight begins against the red clan and the blue clan; a rather welcoming and nostalgic start I must say. Then obviously, we get back to reality, Mikato is dead and the blue clan’s king is slowly destroying his sword. If you haven't watched the previous series and want too, then please don't read on because I guarantee people will hate me for this.

So Anna is the current leader of the red clan, which is seriously strange since we never saw her fight or even be close to aggressive in the first season. Yata swears to look after her and protect and the red clan seems a whole lot closer than in the first season. One of the best and small touches I thought there was for both the Red clan and the Blue clan, was that every time there was a conversation; they all clearly said each other’s names, I don't know if they were doing this to make sure that you remember everyone else and not just the major characters, but I thought it was quite a nice touch to the series. You learned more about the red clans and the blue clan’s clansmen, you learnt about their personalities, what they fight with and who they hate the most in the opposite clan. Even in the opening scene you see them pick who they want to fight the most. Like I said, small touch, but effective.

The whole storyline in this second season is based around a clan that had nothing to do with the storyline of the first season. If you remember, the first season was all about Blue, Red, and Silver and a then a few appearances from the Gold leader. This time around we have the Blues, the reds, the silver, something bad happens to the gold leader (trying to cut out the spoilers) and then the green clan appears out of bloody nowhere and think that the whole clan thing is just a huge game. The green clan recruits other clan’s people by using an underground social network where anyone can join up, and the majority of people don't even know that the clans have powers. The clan is called "Jungle" the J players are the top rankers and E is the lowest. People lower down in the rankings are encouraged to find out information on other clans, collect images and then take them out; for any of these you'll collect points and the more points you have, the closer you can be ranking up. However, there are only three J ranking players who have been granted powers by their clan leader. No one else is allowed to have access to powers, and most of them just have small little green birds that explode, that's the only weapon that they're given against other clans. (A few do have guns).

Long story short, the Jungle clan gets cocky... way too cocky for all of the other clans liking as they are trying their best to draw out the king of the silver clan. Most of all, they want the slate that gives the clans their powers so they can unleash it to the rest of the world; which by the way, is hilarious because no one knows why flames are coming out of their hands. The Silver clan king does appear and all of the other king’s band together to come up with a plan on who to beat the Jungle clan, it's quite smart and something that's much unexpected from people who just hate and want to kill each other.

So, the real question is, was it as good as the first season?
The answer is,
possibly even better than the first season actually!
So, the majority of people who watched the first season found it all pretty confusing as it got closer to the end and had to go back and watch it, I was one of those people. I watched it all the way through, and then had to go back and watch the last 5 or 6 episodes to fully understand what had happened; this time around everything was told perfectly and timed just right, nothing got confusing and everything made perfect sense. Everything fitted together perfectly so there was no need to waste time and go back, to watch two episodes to understand one thing; the only problem with that was the film before this season that you have to watch.
Being introduced properly to all of the side characters who only made a proper appearance at the end of season 1 was also interesting, they all have different enemies in the opposite clan and when they team up everyone who were enemies before end up getting on and fighting together.

This season was brilliant, it all made sense, we got to see every character in some form of action and It did have some pretty good twists and unexpectedness about it. Obviously the animation is brilliant because it's brand new, and the animation in the flames seem bloody badass this time around. The OST's where quite different too and seemed to have more of an edge to them instead of the slower ones in the first season. One downside, even in the opening sequence for the first episode there was quite a bit of fan service from one particular woman... Didn't quite enjoy that, but then again Woman crush right there. If there's any anime characters I want to be it would be her, and we all know who she is, just take a wild guess and it'll be correct.

One bad thing, the Jungle leader mentions something about him and Neko being the same as each other and both chose to erase their memories... I have no idea if missed something but oh well!
